"Yum!" Branding Project
The goal of this project was to develop a brand called “Yum!”, built around the core values of optimism, uniqueness, and empathy. I focused on creating a visual identity that clearly communicated these values while maintaining a playful and approachable tone. The elements designed for this project were a logo that could function effectively in different color formats, a color palette, and product design. This project strengthened my understanding of brand development and the importance of communicating brand identity through visuals.
Design Platform: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop

Initial Research
I researched the characteristics assigned to my brand to understanding how they resonate with consumers. I also explored how consumers emotionally connect with ice cream, which helped shape the vision for “Yum!”. Through this research, I developed a brand identity that is cheerful, bright, and throughly one of a kind. I designed the product specifically for college students in mind, creating ice cream containers sized to fit in mini fridges. To reflect the company’s value of empathy, each flavor is crafted to support different emotional needs. For example, a caffeinated coffee flavor for late nights, a citrus flavor to brighten low moods, and a mint flavor to boost motivation and cognitive stamina.

Mood Board
Designed for the colors, fonts, and texture with the brand identity in mind.

Initial Sketches
After research and deciding on the brand identity of "Yum!", several logo designed were drawn to decide on which fit the needs and identity of the brand the most.
Iterations
Once I had sketched several logo designs. I then took these sketches and put them in Adobe Illustrator to start creating different iterations. Through this exploration I was able to determine which design would be better for the final logo.
